Canada Post Issues 72-hour Strike Notice

Please see below link with latest update issued by Canada Post.
Canada Post intends to continue operating as strike notices received from CUPW

Also important to note that even though CUPW has called the 72 hour notice, they still have not decided if they will strike or cause a disruption at that exact time. It just means they will be legally allowed to as of 12:01 am Friday Nov 15. It is also at that time they would announce what type of disruption they are choosing, either rotational or full on stoppage.

Canada Post Corporation will work to minimize service disruptions. A labour disruption would affect the millions of Canadians and businesses who rely on the postal service. It is critical that both parties focus their energies on resolving issues to reach negotiated agreements.

In the event CUPW initiates rotating strike activity, Canada Post intends to continue delivering for Canadians and Canadian businesses while working to reach agreements. The Corporation will work to minimize service disruptions, but customers may experience delays.
Mail and parcels flow through Canada Post’s highly integrated national network each day to get from sender to receiver. Shutting down facilities or regions with rotating strikes can cause immediate and prolonged ripple effects throughout the network.

As of right now it is business as usual this week until we hear further info.
